The gallery is open to the public (with restrictions): Monday to Thursday, 9am to 9:30pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 9am to 4:30pm.
Opening Reception: No date yet. The gallery will contact us when they know more.
GUIDELINES AND INFORMATION FOR THE ARTIST
Eligibility: The competition is open to all Ontario based artists. The show will be open to 2D and 3D works in all media including, but not restricted to, painting, photography, sculpture, glass, fibre, drawing.
Theme ‘Re-Imagined” If you've thought twice about your artwork, you've re-imagined it. It's completely up to the artist's interpretation and creativity. Just enjoy the art-making!
Images Images need to be minimum 72 dpi, 'jpg' format. Images labelled in the following format: 'LastnameFirstNameTitleSize.jpg'
Accepted Work Accepted work to be delivered to Neilson Park Creative Centre. Works must be suitably framed and wired for hanging. No ‘saw-tooth’ hangers will be accepted. A label, including Artist Name, Title of Piece, Medium, Dimensions, Selling Price, and Artist’s Contact Information must be affixed to the back of each piece of submitted work
Drop off: Sunday, September 27, 2020 - from 11 am to 4 pm Pick up: Sunday, October 18, 2020 in the afternoon - from 12 am to 4 pm
Notification of Acceptance: March 15, 2020 by email and/or published online.

Jury Guidelines: 1. The piece of art demonstrates:
A high level of competence in the use of the chosen medium
Well developed sensibilities toward composition and design
2. The work demonstrates one or more of the following:
An innovative approach in composition or technique
Some level of risk taking or experimentation
An original take on a subject
Work that has an edge
3. A piece of work which may either:
Engage you in a meaningful way, emotionally or intellectually
Be an intriguing piece of art which calls you back

Sales Commission: Sales directly through Neilson Park Creative Centre, will be charged 15% commission. See details below*
Liability: While the Overzealous committee will be diligent in its care and custody of art work, it will not assume responsibility for damage or loss of any piece of work.
Authorization for use of images foradvertising: The work of artists whose work is accepted may be used for advertising.

Artist(s) will be issued payment for all sold work approximately 14 days after the end of the show, less the 15% commission to NPCC. Allow up to one month for delivery. HST is applicable to all sales. HST will be remitted to artists on submission of their HST registration number; otherwise HST will be reported and remitted by the Centre.
